Building Something Hot Page 6
Mila led them to an empty table near the dance floor and a waitress immediately came over to take their order. Mila ordered them all beers, but before the waitress could escape, Briella grabbed her and asked for eight red-headed sluts. Kason and Dexter looked at her curiously. When the waitress returned, she had the four beers and eight shots. They toasted to the guys’ trip to New York, and to a wonderful weekend.
After everyone drank their shots, Kason pulled Briella onto the dance floor. “I know you won’t two-step with me, but I bet you’ll dance with me here.”
“You got it. How could I turn you down?” she asked.
They found a small spot on the dance floor where they were able to let loose. Briella was impressed by how well Kason danced. Things were heating up between them on the dance floor when the deejay played “Closer” by Nine Inch Nails. Between the flashing strobe lights, the thumping bass, the heat, and the grinding that Briella and Kason were doing, she wanted him right then and there. Briella was so turned on, and when Kason rubbed against her, she could feel how turned on he was too.
Briella stopped dancing and pulled Kason to her, grabbing the back of his head and taking his lips with her own. He wrapped his arms around her tightly and broke the kiss to trail soft, hungry kisses down her neck. As he was making his way back up to her mouth, Kason felt someone tapping his shoulder. He turned to see Dexter standing there.
“Man, you look ready to ravish her right on the dance floor in front of all these people!” Dexter teased.
“I think I would have, if you hadn’t come over.”
“Mila’s looking for you, Briella. She wants you to go to the ladies room with her,” Dexter said.
Briella sent a seductive smile to Kason before she left the dance floor to find Mila. Both men watched her walk away. “I have never lost control like that before!” Kason told Dexter as soon as she was out of earshot. “It makes me feel like a teenager again.”
Dexter nodded. “I get it, man. I really do.”
Briella found Mila and went with her as they made their way to the ladies room. Briella told Mila what happened on the dance floor, and said she completely forgot there were other people around them. “We might have actually done something if Dexter hadn’t stopped us,” she admitted.
Mila told Briella she was having a great time with Dexter, and she couldn’t wait to get home.
“Thanks for the warning. You want me and Kason to go somewhere else?” Briella offered.
“No, but if you hear any screams coming from my bedroom, just ignore them,” Mila laughed.
The girls left the bathroom to find the guys. They were sitting at the table waiting for Briella and Mila, but they weren’t alone. Standing in front of Kason was a bleached blonde girl, who kept trying to put her arms around Kason’s neck.
Mila looked at Briella. “It’s nothing. Stay calm.”
“Like hell I will,” Briella said. She watched as Kason kept trying to pry the girl off him, but the girl wasn’t taking no for an answer. Obviously this wasn’t a situation that Kason had started, but it was one that Briella was going to finish.
Briella walked up to her and tapped her on the shoulder. The girl turned her head to look at Briella. She could immediately see that she was drunk - at least. She might have been high, too. But that didn’t mean she was going to get away with this.
“Get the fuck off my boyfriend, bitch! Can’t you see he doesn’t want you?” Briella taunted.
“Fuck you, bitch. He’s coming home with me tonight,” the blonde slurred, and gave Briella the finger before she leaned in to try to kiss Kason.
“I’ll only tell you one more time. Get the fuck off my man, NOW!” Briella screamed. The music was so loud that most people didn’t even notice, and the blonde made a point of ignoring it.
The blonde waved her hand in Briella’s face, as if to dismiss her.
“I warned you,” Briella said, then she spun the girl around, and punched her in the face. The blow was hard and solid - Briella felt the force of it through her hand and arm as the blonde’s jaw slammed shut and her head snapped back. The blonde stumbled, then fell to the floor. Kason and Dexter sat there in shock, staring at the woman who was now lying in a heap.
Mila pulled Briella away from the girl before she hit her again. “She got the picture,” Mila said, and Briella gave the woman one last glare before she let Mila lead her to the other side of the bar. The guys followed, looking back at the blonde as some of her friends rushed to surround her.
Kason smirked at her. “Your boyfriend? Only friends? Which is it?”
“I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me. I’m never like that. I just got so pissed when I saw her hands all over you. Sorry about making a scene,” Briella apologized, slightly embarrassed and still annoyed at the girl. She kept her back to the scene, ignoring the commotion as the blonde’s friends picked her up and headed for the door.
“I’ll forgive you if you answer my question,” Kason said.
“You know, I’d love for you to be my boyfriend, Country Boy, but long distance relationships just don’t work.”
“Well, you never know unless you try. Give me a chance, Briella. That’s all I ask!”
Briella shook her head. “It’s insane to even think about it.”
“I’m here now. And you were in Texas last weekend. And…there’s the phone, and email, and we can rack up one hell of a lot of frequent flier miles…”
Briella smiled. Kason kissed her. “Try me,” he whispered against her lips, and she quickly melted.
“Okay. I’ll give it a try. But don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
“Okay,” Kason agreed. “My girlfriend warned me.”
“Here we go, ladies and gentlemen, last songs of the night. A double shot of Green Day,” the deejay announced.
Briella looked at Kason, as if to ask if he had anything to do with it. He held up his hands innocently, and then dragged her to the dance floor as ‘Time of Your Life’ came over the speakers. Kason ran his hands up and down Briella’s back as he sang along. Briella thought back to the conversation they had just had and shook her head at how easily she had said yes. But what else could she say? Being with Kason felt absolutely right. ‘Closing Time’ started playing, and Briella looked up at Kason and whispered “Take me home, Country Boy.”
He knew exactly what she meant. He nodded, and grabbed Dexter and Mila, then headed for the door.
Because the girls’ apartment was within walking distance from the club, the four decided to walk rather than take a cab. Even though they were all tired, they walked quickly, and since it was a cool night, they all stayed quite awake even at the late hour. By the time they were a block away from the apartment, they started to run.
As soon as they walked into the apartment, Mila dragged Dexter into her room. She turned to look at Briella. “Remember what I said!” Then she laughed and closed her door.
Kason gave her a look and Briella smiled. “Don’t worry. We’ll just have to keep the music loud.”
Kason finally caught on and smiled. He sauntered over to Briella and picked her up in his arms, carrying her like a groom carrying his bride over the threshold. She turned her head and kissed him as they entered her bedroom. He shut her door with his foot, then walked over to the bed and gently laid her down. He walked over to her stereo and asked what she wanted to listen to.
“There’s a CD I just made already in there. Just push play, and turn the volume up halfway,” Briella said. The first song that played was ‘Breathe’ by Faith Hill.
Kason walked over to the bed and stood next to it, looking down at Briella’s face.
Briella got up on her knees and went over to the side of the bed to be in front of Kason. They stared into each other’s eyes. They both remembered what happened that morning, and now they both knew what might happen that night. Kason didn’t want to move too fast, but there was something about Briella that made him want to break all of his rules.
He dr
ew her in for a passionate kiss. Her hands went from his shoulders to the buttons on his shirt. She didn’t hesitate - it was clear what she wanted. After she had the buttons all undone, she pushed the shirt off his shoulders. He let it drop to the floor.
Briella stepped back to admire his bare chest and arms. She ran her index finger from his jaw, down his neck, to his chest, then his stomach. His chest was smooth and hard, and very nicely tanned.
“Gorgeous,” she murmured, and pressed her lips to the center of his chest. Her blood was pounding in her veins, aching to have him in her.
Kason pulled her closer to him as he kissed her neck. His hands found the hem of her shirt and he lifted it over her head. Briella sat there in front of him with a calmness that was almost eerie. She had no worries. She wasn’t acting coy like so many other women might have. Instead, she just sat there and let him look at her. His finger traced the cup of her bra, then he pulled her close again. As his arms encircled her body, he found the snap of her bra and released the hooks. He slowly slipped the straps down her shoulders and then let the bra fall to the floor.
Kason climbed up on the bed on his knees so they were facing each other. He took her in his arms and felt her bare breasts against his skin. He took a moment, swallowing hard, as he simply enjoyed the heat of them together. He slowly laid her back on the bed and moved on top of her. His eyes searched hers.
“Should we stop, Briella?”
She shook her head so hard she made the bed shake. “No way, Country Boy! I want you so bad. I need you. Please don’t stop.”
The song on the CD changed to ‘Cowboy Take Me Away’ by the Dixie Chicks. He kissed her chest and quivering stomach, pausing between each one, giving her plenty of time to stop him if she changed her mind. He undid her pants as he kissed her, then slowly slid them down her legs. After ridding her of her pants, he crawled up the bed to lie next to her. He grabbed her hand and kissed it, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles.
“Is your hand okay?” he asked between kisses.
“Yeah, it’s fine. I’m really sorry about that. I’m not usually like that.”
“Just don’t make a habit out of punching everyone,” he teased. “She deserved it though. I have to say, if the roles were reversed, and I saw a guy hanging on you like that, I’d have done the same thing.” He kissed her again, and she ran her hands down his stomach.
“God, you make me so nervous,” he whispered as her hands reached for the button of his pants. He suddenly stopped her and waited until she looked up into his eyes. “If you want to stop, do it now, because once you release me, I think all my control will go out the window.”
“I told you I don’t want to stop,” she said. The sound of his pants unzipping was surprisingly loud to both of them - it was a sign of what they were about to do.
“You know, you make me nervous too. But my desire far outweighs my nerves,” she said as she slipped his pants past his ankles. She looked up and gave him a wide smile. Then she stood up from the bed and walked into her bathroom. She reappeared seconds later with a box of condoms.
“Well prepared,” he praised as she handed them to him.
Briella stood next to the bed and slowly pushed her panties off, then stepped out of them. Kason watched every move she made, his eyes never leaving hers. She let him look at her for a moment, then she crawled back on the bed.
Kason slipped off his boxers and took out a condom. She watched without a bit of embarrassment as he rolled one on. When he started to blush, Briella teased him. “Now I see why they call you ‘Big Tex’!”
Kason laughed positioned himself above her. He kissed her softly, then harder, as his hands worked magic over her body. She was soon lifting her hips and begging him to enter her. There was nothing in the world she wanted any more than that. When she finally couldn’t take another moment, she wrapped her legs around him and caught his hair in her hands. She yanked his head back and kissed a trail down his neck.
“Do it,” she insisted. “Take me now or I will flip you over and ride you like a pony, cowboy.”
“Yes, ma’am,” he murmured, and slowly thrust into her. He watched her face as the pleasure overtook her. It wasn’t long before he began moving in a rhythm that sent them both right to the edge.
Briella would never forget that moment. Kason was clenching his jaw, trying hard to hold off and maintain control. She was doing her best to make him lose it. Green Day’s ‘Time of Your Life’ played over the stereo when he finally said, “I can’t hold back anymore…”
“Good,” she said, her own climax right over the horizon. “I want to come with you.”
“Oh, God…”
Kason growled out her name as he came. Something about the way he said it with that deep Texas twang made her come even harder than she thought she would. She shouted, clenching him close to her with her arms and her legs, holding him as deep as she could get him. When it was over, they lay in bed and looked at each other, smiling and sometimes kissing, neither one of them feeling any need for words.
Chapter Eight
The next morning Briella woke up in Kason’s arms. She immediately remembered the night before and smiled broadly. She felt as if the whole world could fall down around her, but as long as she was in his arms, it wouldn’t matter. She could get used to waking up with him like this every morning, if only they lived in the same city.
Kason woke up to little kisses being placed all over his chest. He smiled as he looked into Briella’s eyes. “Morning’ darlin’,” Kason whispered, and then kissed her lips.
“Good morning, Country Boy. Sleep well?” she asked.
“Hell, yeah, you wore me out last night, darlin’!” Kason laughed. He looked into Briella’s eyes. “You don’t regret last night, do you?”
“No, not at all. I’m very happy that it happened,” she answered. “Do you regret it? I know you were hesitant.”
He kissed her fingertips as he spoke. “Well, I wanted to wait to know you better, but I also couldn’t fight my feelings forever. It seemed right last night, and it still seems right. We still have a lot to learn about each other, but I think what we did is part of the ‘getting to know you’ process. For instance, now I know that you like to be kissed here…” he said, and then kissed her neck. He kissed her shoulder. “…and here…” he kissed her nipple. “…and I know it makes you squirm when I kiss you here,” he said, as he kissed her belly button.
Briella laughed and pushed him away.
“So, no, to answer your question, I definitely don’t regret it.”
“That’s good to know, because after those kisses, I think I need a replay of last night,” Briella said.
“Oh, yeah?”
“Yeah.”
“How about you make good on that threat last night to pony up?”
Briella grinned and threw the covers back. “Ride ‘em, cowgirl!” she hollered as she climbed on top of him.
An hour later they were in the shower together, where they saw it fit to find a few more ways to ride. Thirty minutes after that, they went to the kitchen, where Mila was cooking breakfast and Dexter was sitting at the table watching her.
“So Briella, yesterday I found out that Mila is an interior designer, but she wouldn’t tell me what you do. Why so secretive?” Dexter asked.
“Yeah, I have no clue what you do for a living,” Kason said, blushing at his oversight.
Briella played with the salt shaker. “Oh, it’s not that big of a deal. I just don’t tell a lot of people. I’m not an interior designer, but I am partners with Mila. I just hate bringing shop talk home with me, and when I tell people what I do for a living, there is always this big discussion that I like to avoid. Besides, I have no clue what either of you do, so why is it so bad that I haven’t told?”
“We’re both architects,” Dexter said, and Briella’s jaw dropped.
“You’re…You’re both architects? Seriously?” Briella stuttered.
“Yup. Did you like my house? I’m t
he one who designed it,” Kason announced.
“Yeah, it was great. I can’t believe you’re both architects!” Briella said, and shot a nervous glance at Mila.
“Why, we don’t look smart enough to be architects?” Kason joked.
“Um, no, it’s not that, I just …um…it seems like this place is full of architects,” Briella laughed. “I think you might know my mom, Charlee Fox?”
“What! Your mom is Charlee Fox?“He thought back on all of their conversations, wondering if he had mentioned anything bad about his new boss.
“Ha-ha, you’re sleeping with the boss’ daughter, Kason!” Dexter laughed so hard he almost fell off the stool.
“Don’t laugh too hard, sweetie. You’re sleeping with the girl who is like a daughter to your boss,” Mila said, and slapped him playfully upside the head.
“Oh, shit. She won’t fire us for this, will she?” Kason asked.
“No, Mom’s not like that,” Briella said. “When it’s about business, it’s all business. You’ll be just fine.”
“Well, Briella, now that we know what your mom does for a living, how about you tell us what you do?” Dexter asked.
Mila grinned. “Have you guys ever heard of Billie Fox?”
“You bet!” Kason said. “Hey…is that your brother? I thought you were an only child.”
“No, I am an only child.”
“Okay, so…”
I’m Billie Fox,” Briella said, her eyes averted to the floor.
There was a long moment of silence as Kason and Dexter looked at each other, then swung their attention back to Briella. “What? That can’t be. There has to be some sort of mix up,” Kason said, and got up to go to her bedroom. He came back with an architectural magazine in his hand. He flipped through the pages until he found what he was looking for. He held it out in front of her.
“You’re this Billie Fox?” he asked.
“The one and only,” Mila laughed.
“But, you’re only in your early twenties! And you’re a woman! And you’re my girlfriend! And this is Billie, not Briella!” Kason was confused.
